As Gamzee came up behind him, wrapping the pink sheet around their waists, Tavros could almost hear the calming thump of their hearts, like they were sharing the same chest. By the window, night pitch against the glass, Tavros had never felt so connected and knew that they were now true matesprits. They'd be nigh unbreakable now... He felt Gamzee's hand bunch in the fabric of the sheet with a smile, keeping them together and warm. "Just a l-little longer," Tavros begged, "it's s-so damn beautiful out there..." Breaking the timelines was the best thing that ever happened to them. Everything they had done, all the hurt and the bad and the sorrow, had been neatly avoided, and left them here, happier than ever. Tavros had his legs. Gamzee was sane. He'd wait on the shore every few days for his lusus, the most significant change being that he wasn't so lonely anymore. Tinkerbull wizzed around the hive with glee, and now...now they would have a Wiggler.

"Is this a miracle?" Tavros inquired softly, having been trying to figure out miracles from ordinary life for sweeps now until Gamzee had told him ordinary life was the miracle. "Best kind," Gamzee said, resting his chin on Tavros' right horn, "the kind that lasts, the kind science can't explain. This is real fuckin' love."

The sound of love made Tavros beam brightly, though his voice remained silent lest he break the moment. "It's going to be nothing but good from here on out, Tav, I promise," Gamzee whispered, nuzzling close and burying his nose in Tavros' chestnut locks. "I believe you, Zee..."
